Dodge Viper Clutch Pedal Travel Shortening Link (Gen 2)
Dodge Viper Clutch Pedal Travel Shortening Link (Gen 2)
Replacement linkage for the clutch pedal assembly in Gen 2 (SRII) Dodge Vipers.
- This link shortens the clutch pedal travel, and as a side effect lowers the clutch pedal height relative to the other pedals by ~1" (this is further adjustable -- see our instructions: (LINK).
- Benefits include faster clutch engagement and disengagement due to the improved motion ratio reducing pedal travel, improved ergonomics, and lighter weight due to the shorter and redesigned linkage.
Compatible with:
Gen 2 (SRII) 1996-2002 Dodge Viper
Included parts:
1 clutch link
Detailed instructions, including bonus instructions on adjustment of all pedal heights and positions independently of each other
Recommendations:
Purchasing 2x new retaining clips for the clutch master cylinder to pedal assembly attachment in case of damage or breakage during removal. Mopar P/N 04581512AA; 04294036; 04019421; 06035334; 4581512AA
Purchasing 2x new pivot bushings may reduce the slop/play in your clutch pedal, especially if your car has higher miles/usage. Mopar P/N 04446361; 4446361
Earlier year cars may have a "Birdcage" clip instead of the pivot bushing + clip. These birdcage clips are known to fail, so upgrading to the newer bushing + clip shown above is highly recommended.
Bonus:
Free instructions on adjusting the gas, brake, and clutch positions independently and shifting the gas pedal closer or further away from the brake pedal are included: https://www.revzerors.com/blogs/instructions-how-tos-2/dodge-viper-pedal-height-and-position-adjustment-free-modification
